Televisión Aparecida to broadcast film about the Fatima apparitions this Sunday

The programming of the Catholic television channel will offer this Sunday, May 4th, at 4 PM, the film titled «The Miracle of Fatima». The film will be broadcast within the family block of the channel, presenting a cinematic narration of the Marian events that occurred in the Portuguese town in 1917.

An intimate perspective of the Marian event

Directed by Jorge Paixão da Costa, the production features performances by Matilde Serrão and Paulo Lobo Antunes. The story focuses on the mystery of the apparitions of the Virgin Mary, known in Catholic tradition as Our Lady of Fatima, through the eyes of one of the three child visionaries: Jacinta Marto, considered the most charismatic of the group.

The spiritual impact on the shepherd children

The film innovatively explores the supernatural phenomenon that occurred over a century ago, showing the profound impact these mystical experiences had on the lives of the three shepherd children. With special attention to Jacinta, the narrative presents the human perspective of a minor who claims to have been contacted by the transcendent, and how this experience transformed her personality and influenced those around her.

The broadcast is part of the regular programming of the «Family Cinema» space, which aims to offer audiovisual content in line with Christian values and the educational interest of families. The transmission of this film represents an opportunity to remember and delve into one of the most significant Marian events for the Catholic Church in the 20th century, whose messages about conversion, prayer, and penance remain relevant in contemporary spirituality.
