The figure of a Virgin of Guadalupe that allegedly cries blood has moved the inhabitants of Morelia, Michoacán, who visit it to witness what they consider a miracle. The religious image is located in the Obrera neighborhood, inside the home of the Melchor Mondragón family.
The discovery of the alleged miracle
Miguel, the father of the family, indicated that this event took place on Sunday morning. He recalled that it was his daughter who notified him that the figure of the Virgin was crying blood, which initially made him reluctant to accept it. However, after personally observing the image, he was left speechless. From that moment, he sought out the parish priest of the neighborhood, who immediately assured that he would report it to the Archdiocese of Morelia to verify this event.
Reaction of the faithful
Dozens of families have arrived at the home of the Melchor Mondragón family to place candles, offer prayers, and even entrust their families and plead for a miracle. Mrs. María, visibly moved, considered this to be an authentic miracle resulting from so much violence and death prevailing in the state and the country. Embracing her faith, she entrusted the Virgin of Guadalupe to resolve the difficulties that, as a family, she said they face.
Implications and responsibility
For Miguel, this event has also been a point of unity among people, but it implies a responsibility that he says he will have to assume, such as receiving people who wish to see the figure even late at night. The Archdiocese of Morelia verified the alleged miracle, although no additional official statements have been issued so far.
