Last Sunday afternoon, the town of Humanes de Madrid experienced one of its most deeply rooted traditions: the procession of the Virgin of Guidance and the Christ of the Miracle. The procession set out from the Parish of Santo Domingo de Guzmán and went through the main streets of the municipality, in an atmosphere of recollection and devotion.
Participation and acknowledgments
Local authorities expressed their gratitude to the residents who joined the procession, as well as to the religious brotherhoods that, with their work and dedication, make it possible for this tradition to remain alive year after year. The collaboration of all the people who contributed to the development of the day was also highlighted, from the organizers to the volunteers who ensured order and safety.
A tradition that endures
The procession of the Virgin of Guidance and the Christ of the Miracle is one of the most anticipated events in the festive calendar of Humanes de Madrid. This manifestation of popular faith not only strengthens community ties but also transmits the value of local religious traditions to new generations. The town council has reported that the day went without incident and with a notable turnout of faithful.
The image of the Virgin of Guidance, patron saint of the town, and that of the Christ of the Miracle, object of special veneration, were carried on the shoulders of the members of the brotherhoods, while attendees accompanied with songs and prayers. The route included stops at emblematic points of the municipality, where brief acts of prayer and blessing were held.
With this procession, Humanes de Madrid reaffirms its commitment to preserving its spiritual and cultural heritage, in a context where religious traditions remain a fundamental pillar of local identity.
